Canoe Trip After the GBS
Extend your stay in Alberta and experience the Canadian Rockies. Join us for a 3-day canoe trip on the North Saskatchewan River after the Global Bushcraft Symposium. Paddle this Historic Fur Trade River with some of the legends of Bushcraft and our talented GBS executive members. Trip is limited to 30 participants.
Who: People who attended the GBS. Some River Canoeing experience is recommended. This stretch of river should only be undertaken by experienced paddlers. It is NOT suitable for beginners (however, beginners may participate as long as you have an experienced stern paddler leading your canoe). You should be a competent paddler in Class II moving water, have the ability to swim in case of an upset, and perform effective moving water maneuvers. Experienced guides will be leading the trip and selecting routes based on the group experience. The North Saskatchewan River is a large river, and in many cases, it is easy to avoid rapids and take a safe line down river. Please contact Dale to begin a discussion regarding the skills required to attend this trip. firstname.lastname@example.org
