This day trip on the Athabasca River is for anyone who has participated in our Intro Moving Water Canoe Skills Course in the past 10 years.
It is also for anyone who has some Class I river experience, and wants to have a fun day of paddling and reviewing basic moving water skills.

Dale and Colleen will be offering casual instruction on some or all of the following skills: eddy turns and peel outs, MITH and carving, outfitting a canoe for rivers, back ferry and front ferry, self rescue and canoe rescues, reading current and rapids, S-turns, C-turns, river paddling strokes review, and map reading.
There will also be an emphasis on having a boat load of fun and enjoying some wonderful paddling on this amazing river.
Bring your own lunch
Expect to be paddling from 10am to around 4 pm
Location will be on the Athabasca River near Fort Assiniboine or Whitecourt.
